River Fall

Fundraising Campaign 2008-09

Dear Donor:

You are a significant contributor to the well-being of our community. The Community Mediation Center has outgrown its space, and your help is needed. To more effectively help bring peace to our families, schools, and neighborhoods, we are asking you to be one of fifty people to help the CMC establish itself in a facility suitable for the expansion of our services. Your contribution is vital to raise $12,000 that will create a capital campaign fund that can move CMC into space visible to the community and sufficient for mediation, training sessions and office work.

The CMC is a non-profit organization of experienced mediators and trainers who assist all members o0f our community, especially children and families, to prevent and positively address potentially destructive conflicts. More than 1, 500 people are helped each year. From neighbors arguing over parked cars, boundary lines, noise and barking dogs, to elementary students learning to Talk it Out, to middle and high school students dealing with putdowns, dehabilitating gossip and threats, people are learning to change behaviors and live in peace with each other.

Your contribution can help us secure a place of hope for many in our community as you help with the effort to reach our fundraising goal.. Please help us plan our important move into our own facility by sending your donation today. Checks should be made out to the Community Mediation Center, or you can submit your payment online via credit card through our "Donate Now" Button. You will be linked to Donor Edge with the Greater KC Community Foundation and the donation will be forwarded to us.

Thank you very much for being willing to help us. Your contribution will provide the means for increased assistance to many families and individuals. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact me at indep_cmc@yahoo.com or by phone at 833.4300 x 215.

For the Community,
